Introduction
This training is ideal for practitioners working in conflict and post conflict settings in Africa who have a keen interest in:
- Increasing their understanding of conflict and post conflict contexts
- Increasing their knowledge and skills in peacebuilding programming in these contexts
- Improving on their knowledge and skills in designing and facilitating trainings including online ones
The initial part of the training will focus on dissecting selected conflict and post conflict settings in the Horn of Africa, Eastern Africa and the Greater Great Lakes region. Focus will also be on conflict analysis tools that can help in informing programming as well as relevant peacebuilding programming options. The second part will focus on designing and facilitating trainings.

- Exploring the issues in training for peacebuilding and conflict transformation
- Designing a training curriculum
- Developing Training and Learning objectives
- Facilitation skills; The art of facilitation and relevant qualities and skills required for facilitators
- Understanding our roles as facilitators and as trainers
- Designing and conducting an online training
